Muslims claim that before Muhammad, Allah was the biblical God of the Old Testament Israelites and the New Testament apostles. If this is true, then Christians must accept Muhammad as a later prophet and the Koran as a later revelation after the Bible. This makes Muslims and Christians brothers and sisters under the same God and there is no need to attempt to proselytise each other. Indeed, all Christians should immediately become Muslims to fit into God’s ongoing plan.
This is obviously absurd to both Christians and Muslims who have any detailed knowledge of the many contradictions between the Koran and the Bible and between the characters of Jehovah and Allah. Examination of the history of Allah presents other major differences.
